How do the subscription packages work?
Purchase a TerraCycle Pouch by Casella subscription. Upon subscribing, we will send you your TerraCycle Pouches. We accept 20 categories of hard-to-recycle items for recycling, and all TerraCycle Pouches are clearly marked with the different materials we collect. Simply mark the checkbox for the type of items you want to recycle, fill the TerraCycle Pouches with the accepted items, and then schedule a pickup. Casella will pick up at the scheduled time, and TerraCycle will recycle everything inside.
How do I sign up?
Click on the “Get started” button in the menu or on any page. This will take you through our signup process for TerraCycle Pouch by Casella. Select your subscription package and start recycling with us.
When can I expect my recycling supplies after placing an order?
New subscription orders include a supply of TerraCycle Pouches that will be delivered to you within ten business days of your order. (Shipping times may vary based on your location.) Individual TerraCycle Pouch orders are shipped within ten business days of your order.
How many TerraCycle Pouches can I set out for each pickup?
It depends entirely on your needs. In order to minimize fuel usage and emissions, we encourage you to consolidate more bags into fewer pickups when possible. Your subscription will determine how many TerraCycle Pouches we will send to you. You can purchase additional TerraCycle Pouches at any time through our website.
Scheduling a pickup
How often do you pick up?
Your subscription includes a set number of pick ups. You can select from any available dates to schedule your pick ups on the schedule you choose. You can purchase additional pickups on the website as needed. We allow you to schedule your pickup when it's convenient for you.
How do I schedule a pickup?
To schedule a pickup, you can either scan the QR code on the TerraCycle Pouch or log in to your TerraCycle Pouch by Casella account. All pickups require scheduling. Casella will pick up your TerraCycle Pouches on the scheduled date.
What time will my pickup be?
Please place your TerraCycle Pouches on your doorstep the night before your scheduled pickup. Casella drivers may arrive as early as 6:00 a.m.
What if I miss my pickup?
Please contact customer service to see when a pickup can be rescheduled. You can email us at contact@terracyclepouch.com
Is there a maximum number of TerraCycle Pouches I can have picked up at once?
Casella will pick up as many TerraCycle Pouches as you have ready. When you schedule your pickup, you will be asked to fill in the number of TerraCycle Pouches being collected.
How full can my TerraCycle Pouch be?
All items must fit in the provided TerraCycle Pouch, and it must be closable. We do not collect loose items or open TerraCycle Pouches. If you need more pouches, you can order them anytime.
What if my TerraCycle Pouch is damaged?
Please contact us, and Casella will coordinate with its drivers to ensure they can pick up your order on your scheduled date. Reach out to us at contact@terracyclepouch.com.
If I run out of TerraCycle Pouches, can I just use other bags I have in the house?
No, you will need to purchase additional TerraCycle Pouches. Casella drivers do not carry extra TerraCycle Pouches.
What happens to the items after you pick them up?
TerraCycle guarantees that we recycle all compliant materials that are collected. The items are received by our material recovery partners, where they are sorted into individual material components. Each material is then recycled into a raw format that can be used to make new products.
What we accept
Do you have a list of all the items you recycle?
You can review all 20 categories of hard-to-recycle items that we accept here. Click on each category to learn details about the accepted item types, recycling processes, and final products created with the processed waste.
Is there anything you don’t accept?
We do not accept batteries, bulbs, electronics, liquids, potentially hazardous materials or any items that are not included in the 20 categories printed on the TerraCycle Pouches. We If you are unsure or have a specific question, please contact us at contact@terracyclepouch.com.
Can I put the same things in small and large TerraCycle Pouches?
Different categories of hard-to-recycle items are accepted by small and large TerraCycle Pouches. Please only put accepted items (listed on the pouch) in each TerraCycle Pouch.
Can I put items from more than one category in one TerraCycle Pouch?
Please only put items from one specific category of hard-to-recycle materials in each TerraCycle Pouch. Mark the checkbox for that category on the pouch to indicate what’s inside.
Do I have to clean the items before I put them in the TerraCycle Pouch?
You do not need to fully clean the items before putting them in the TerraCycle Pouch, but should be reasonably clean and dry.
Billing and cancelation
Do I have to buy a subscription package?
No—you may also purchase TerraCycle Pouches and Casella pickups on-demand.
How do I cancel my subscription?

When do I get billed?
You are billed at the time of subscription. Billing will automatically renew at the end of your subscription period (3-month, 6-month, and 12-month).
If I cancel, how do I return my supplies?
Once your cancellation is confirmed, we will notify you and make arrangements to pick up your supplies.
I need to change my form of payment. How do I do that?
Simply log in to your account, select "My subscriptions" from the top menu, click on an active subscription and click on the "Request update link in email" button.
We will send you an email containing the URL where you can securely change your payment method.
I entered the wrong address. How do I change it?

General questions
I have a business, school, church, etc., and would like to participate. Can I?
Yes, we welcome businesses, schools, and other organizations who want to sign up for TerraCycle Pouches by Casella. Please contact us at contact@terracyclepouch.com, and we will see what we can do to assist you with your recycling needs.
I live in an apartment building. Do you service apartments as well?
Yes—as long as your collection bin can be placed outside or in a ground floor common area that Casella’s drivers can easily access. For more detailed information, please contact us at contact@terracyclepouch.com.
I already have a TerraCycle account. Do I have to create a new TerraCycle Pouches by Casella account?
Yes—you will need a separate TerraCycle Pouch by Casella account.
